NEW CEO AND A NEW BOARD MEMBER/PARTNER

BRINGING IN THE A-TEAM

GIM Robotics has been evolving steadily since it was founded in 2014 after three glorious decades at Helsinki University of Technology (later Aalto University). We are getting to that point, where we are finally ready to take the leap of faith from cutting-edge deep-tech robotic company into full-blooded software company with the main revenues coming from extensive global licensing sales. Thousands, if not tens of thousands, modern working machines will be transformed into field and service robots thanks to our top-notch localization, environmental modeling, and situational awareness SW modules. To get everything right from the beginning, it was clear that GIM Robotics would need some fresh blood with extensive experience in doing similar transformations. Especially, when our previous CEO, Dr. Tapio Taipalus, decided to look for new challenges. Godspeed Tapio.

Bearing that in mind, we are all thrilled to welcome our brand-new CEO, Mr. Pertti Lukkari. Pertti was selected from a big bunch of extremely talented candidates and has that needed experience to boost GIM to the next level. And that is not all. Our esteemed advisor Mr. Henrik Dahl, decided to walk the talk and put his money where his mouth is and become a partner and a board member. So, instead of having one more superstar helping us to conquer the world, we ended up having two to complement the amazing GIMster family. Lucky us.

PERTTI LUKKARI, CEO, GIM ROBOTICS

M.Sc. (Tech.) Pertti Lukkari has diverse leadership experience in developing international business and products in factory automation, services, and software and electronic products. He has extensive experience in global business, especially in the manufacturing industry in Central Europe.

Previously, Pertti worked as the JTA Connection’s Development Director. He was responsible for developing the company’s digital services and accelerating and supporting international growth. Before that Pertti was the CEO of Rakla Oy in Tampere, worked for Fastems Oy Ab, a manufacturer of factory automation systems, and for RUAG Space Finland Oy Ab, which develops and manufactures space electronics products.

Pertti says: I feel very excited but also honoured to join the GIM team. Throughout my career I have had privilege to work with companies and customers that want to challenge themselves by developing business and products further, even to the point that they become trendsetters amongst their domains. When discussing with GIM personnel I got the feeling that GIM is one of those companies that will form the future. Great to become part of that story!”
