NAVITEC SYSTEMS

DTA
DTA is a Spanish company specialised in the design and manufacturing of autonomous and remote controlled heavy duty outdoor and indoor AGV/ AMR and special self-propelled transporters for on site transportation from 1 to 1.200 tons. The company has worked since 1972 and their technology and machines have been used in different sectors like windmill, railway, shipbuilding, automotive, aerospace, steelmill and foundries, port industry and others.
GIM robotics has worked together with DTA in challenging cases where the use of conventional 2D technology has failed to provide the needed accuracy for positioning in an outdoor factory environment. The environment has several dynamic elements and generated AGVs trajectories go up to 5 km. For the new generation of machinery DTA is using GIM robotics positioning technology PAIKKA in diverse industrial and rural areas where 3D lidar technology software has shown its benefits and robustness.
